You would not say "the America", and you would not say "the China". When you are talking about a country (not a nation) or a continent, it will usually be without the definite article (the). Many nations, on the other hand have official names that say something about them politically, or about how their government is organized. So you could say "I am visiting China next year" or you could say " I am going to the People's Republic of China". By the way, "The Republic of China" refers to Taiwan, and not mainland China.
There are a few countries, though, that are often referred to with "the" in the name; for example, the Ukraine, the Gambia, the Congo, and the Lebanon.

yes the united kingdom and the united states are allies
Yes
We say "the US" or "the USA", because US stands for United States, and USA stands for United States of America. We would (and do) say "the United States" and "the United States of America", so we say "the US" and "the USA". For some reasons, Americans used to say "the Ukraine", and I cannot explain that. When Ukraine became a separate country, we had to learn to refer to it as simply Ukraine and not the Ukraine.
UK is United Kingdom and US is United States. PS. UK is called United Kingdom because there is a queen there.
Scotland is part of the United Kingdom and the United Kingdom is an ally of the United States of America.
People in the United Kingdom wear much the same clothing as in the United States. That is to say jeans and Tshirts are popular. Business men wear suits and ties. Women wear business attire similar to the US. However some men choose to wear the kilt because of Scottish heritage. Some are immigrants from India and choose to wear their native dress.
That will depend on what part of the US you are in, as it has different time zones. On the east coast when it is 1pm, it is 6pm in the United Kingdom. On the west coast when it is 1pm, it will be 9pm in the United Kingdom.
