That means either you have air in your heater core or your heater core is being bypassed
Blown Heater Core - The heater fan blows past the heater core and if it has a hole in it your antifreeze ios being blown onto your windshield.
You have vacuum line leaks somewhere.
Yes it will, engine coolant still flows through it when engine is running.
In many cases leaves can cause smoke to blow through the defrost of a 1990 Ford F 150
I have a 99 bravada, and have had no heat for over a year... until today. I was told by the dealership that I needed a new thermostat, so I had one put in last winter... that did nothing. Today, I had the heater core flushed, and Viola! I have so much heat I had to open my window, and I live in western NY! good luck! Just blow compressed air through the heater core
it is located on the right side of the passenger compartment of the vehicle you would have to remove the whole dash in order to replace it so if you have to ask where it is you probaly won't be able to replace it.
Typically a inconsistent heating in cars is caused by a low coolant level. Most heater hose takeoffs are on the top side of the engine, so if the fluid level is low the last place for the coolant to flow is through the heater hoses. I have seen this on various makes and models. It is by far the cheapest thing to try too.
a heater hose runs from intake to heater core to radiator. the heater core is were the heat comes from inside the car as well as defrost
