You probably believed the guy at advance auto that told you it took 9 qts - and it is over filled - check the dip stick, if it shows overfull drain out the extra - I did
The "oil high" indicates the oil level in your engine is to high. The most common reason for this indicator would be to much oil after an oil change. A quart of oil to much would even cause this indicator to appear. A faulty sensor could also be the cause. First you should shut off the car and let sit for about 5minuts on a level surface. Check the oil via dip stick and see if your over the recommended fill line. The ml320 usually has an arrow right above the line you shouldn't go over. If your over you can syphon some out of the dip stick.
the high beam indicator is only on when the high beams are on
High maintenance costs
A water level indicator shows how high the water is.
I dont know about the '99, but on my '95 the high beams are activated by pulling the turn indicator lever towards the driver. Pushing it forward turns them off again.
You may be mistaken it for the DDL's (Daytime Driving Lights) They come on while in gear... High beams have a BLUE light on the dash, while, the DDL's have a GREEN light.
what does it mean when the hi transmission tempture light come on in a 1999 jaguar xj8
To change the high beam indicator you have to take the instrument cluster out of the dash.
The high beam indicator light will be located on the right side of the instrument panel. It is in the same housing as the check engine, choke, brake, and seat belt indicator lights. The high beam indicator is the only blue one, making it easier to find.
That sounds like problem in the cluster. The high beam indicator is cross wired to the check engine light when it shouldn't be.
On a 1999 Lincoln Town Car : The AIR BAG warning light / readiness light ( for the driver and front passenger ) Is located BETWEEN the HIGH BEAM indicator light and the fuel gauge
