Possible defective glow plug circuitry or fuses. If there is not sufficient heat within the cylinder, the engine will not start. Diesel fuel burns slower than gasoline.
ignition switch i promise
try the starter this happened to me once it didnt do anything when i turned on the ignititon but i could push start it
have the ignition switch tested, does the car have a remote solenoid for the stater. you can also try putting vehicle in neutral then try starting it. sometimes this will reset the safety switch check fuses there is a fuse that will stop it starting
One thing that could cause this would be a faulty ignition switch, specially if you do not have ignition (cluster) lights. Just a thought...

Hey make sure the ignition fuse isn't blown. I thought it was the plugs or a boot, because it wouldn't hit at all. Then I checked the fuses under the hood and all that was wrong was the ignition fuse. Good luck.
