Hi, My hunch, would be in the gas tank. I had a 1993, Toyota Celica and it was located in the gas tank. On mine, I took out the back seat and in about the middle of the space, there was a cover/panel with about 6 screws holding it down; take off panel and you will see the fuel pump cover plate with about 6 more screws holding it to the gas tank...Please be careful...make no sparks...gasoline is HIGHLY flammable...be sure to take disconnect the battery connection BEFORE working on the fuel system. Follow the bottom Radiator Hose. The thermostat on the 92 celica GT is between the water pump and the radiator. you'll have to remove the oil filter so that you can get a wrench on one of the nuts that holds the cover on. make sure you DO NOT let coolant drip into the oil filter chamber. Replace the filter before you remove the thermostat cover. If you don't a whole bunch of coolant is going to gush out, and it'll get into the engine oil for sure.
