My Celica is doing that as well. my uncle knows a thing or two about cars said it could be a Catalytic converter problem...
Brake pads on a 1997 Toyota Celica are changed by removing the wheels, unbolting the calipers, and removing the old pads from the calipers. The caliper piston must be pushed in before the new pads can be installed.
I have the same question. Has anyone in the Celica community ever removed these before? I've searched high and low and have not found any help...
You will need to take the fuel tank off the 1991 Toyota Celica GT and remove the fuel pump and replace it. Always make sure to drain the gas before you take the tank off the car.
what year? with my 84 and 87 celica it was by removing the faceplates for the temp controls, arm rest section and several screws on the panel around the stereo itself. make sure you hunt for any screws as you remove it and when you pull the plastic covers and it doesn't want to go free look for more screws. was about 10+ screws before i could reach the radio mounts itself.

Hi, My hunch, would be in the gas tank. I had a 1993, Toyota Celica and it was located in the gas tank. On mine, I took out the back seat and in about the middle of the space, there was a cover/panel with about 6 screws holding it down; take off panel and you will see the fuel pump cover plate with about 6 more screws holding it to the gas tank...Please be careful...make no sparks...gasoline is HIGHLY flammable...be sure to take disconnect the battery connection BEFORE working on the fuel system. Good luck, ron
there is a fuse for them but check if u have spark and fuel pressure before u waste money and its not that.
Follow the bottom Radiator Hose. The thermostat on the 92 celica GT is between the water pump and the radiator. you'll have to remove the oil filter so that you can get a wrench on one of the nuts that holds the cover on. make sure you DO NOT let coolant drip into the oil filter chamber. Replace the filter before you remove the thermostat cover. If you don't a whole bunch of coolant is going to gush out, and it'll get into the engine oil for sure.
