Why does your anti lock brake light come on and when you turn your engine off and restart the engine the light doesn't come on until later?

There is litterally about 100 faults that could behave this way.
Most Faults will not "Set the Light" untill a certain amount of time passes so that a bump or such doesnt set the light every 2 seconds.
Have the car scanned, its the only way to know why the light comes on. Many parts store will do this for free.
