Fuel Sending Unit has to be replaced, located inside the tank, accesed through the floor cover in a trunk, or cargo area (wagons). You will need special IPD tool $24 to do the job. Priming pump will have to be remounted, unit comes bare with floater only. VDO $180 aftermarket$120, Also replace locking ring, O-ring, Sock Filter and two hose clamps. Unit fails due to outside corrossion disrupting electrical through the wall connection, on the inside it will look shiny new. Messy job, be careful, no sparks, good luck.
