The word "banging" can function as both a verb and an onomatopoeia. As a verb, it describes the action of making a loud noise by striking something. As an onomatopoeia, it imitates the sound of something hitting or striking against a surface.
If the 1999 Suburban noise is a sort of loud banging noise, the problem could be that the engine have jumped time. Jumping time would cause the noise and jerking in the engine.
That depends on where it's comming from, if it's an outside noise, it's probably a faulty mount and the motor is moving when it turns off. If it's an inside noise, it could be the ductwork flexes a little when the blower is running and "pops" back into place when the blower turns off. Finding the exact location of the noise will go a long way toward figuring out what's wrong. Check the filter? maybe it is too dirty or else......
no noise- no problem

central airconditioner makes a clicking noise when running? any idea what to check?
If the noise sounds like a banging sound it could be that you have a worn timing chain. Note: 22re's have timing chains not belts. You should have the noise checked-out by an experienced Toyota mechanic.
