The sizzling noise you hear is Hydrogen (H).
You are hearing the bubbles of it inside the battery pop.
It's normal for unsealed car batteries. Your OK, just avoid things that could ignite the hydrogen. Also, you may notice it is warm to the touch. If you are charging it, make sure your battery charger is on the correct settings and that your water level is adequate. If the level is low, (plates are exposed), add DISTILLED water to it. Not tap water, purified water or other water. It must be distilled. You can purchase distilled water at Publix, Walgreens, Walmart, Auto parts..
if you turn the key and nothing is making noise check the battery if you are trying to start it and it is making noise press the gas a little bit so that the car can pump gas into the engine
If the Chrysler is only making a clicking noise and will not start, check the starter. Also check the alternator, and the battery. The starter solenoid is more than likely the reason the car is clicking and not starting.
try jumping the battery in the car or cleaning the cables
it needed a new battery duhh
starter relay , up of the battery , open ignition on , place car on park and jump it.
Maybe that thumping noise is the sound of another car smashing into the rear of your car.
Put Key in ignition and turn it a bit.

Dead battery? Loose or corroded battery cable?
