This is just my opinion but I think the South was against ending slavery because they didn't want to be outside 24/7 working on their fields. And didn't people mostly rely on what came from the South. (Such as cotton and other necessities as such). And I have a feeling that they didn't want their fame (if they had any) along with hard work go down the drain. Personally I believe they were just too lazy to get up and do their own work; instead they would rather have others do it because they knew they weren't going to fight back and if they could they would be beaten like a dog. And for other reasons possibly due to fear or something as such.
The south was against slavery.
Actually the NORTH was against slavery, and the SOUTH wanted slavery.
The Union (North) was against slavery while the Confederate (South) was against slavery.
The answer is north. North is against slavery.
the north fought the south, and the north won north- against slavery south- slavery
the south was for it because that's what started the whole war the south wanted slavery but the north did not.
They were "the Civil War". The North and the South were going against each other. They were fighting against slavery (the North). And the South wanted slavery.
The final outcome was the North defeating the South in the Civil War and ending slavery in America and ending segregation.

Yes they were fighting about slavery. The north side of the U.S. was fighting against slavery and south was fighting to keep slavery. Boo slavery!
