Why when I turn on my car and put it in gear then press the gas it will not move all it does is accelerate and go up to 4000 and 5000rpm?

Then your automatic transmission is in need of repair. But before you do anything make sure the Transmission Fluid level is at the full mark. If not add enough fluid to reach the full mark. If the situation still exists seek professional help.
