clutch is going, slave cylinder is either shot or full of air
Thumb button located on gear shift.
The button is located on the left side of the gear shift. (right under the main shift button)
Do you mean that the car will not shift into first? The clutch is the left pedal on the floor and should work independently of which gear is selected. If the car will not shift into first the clutch may need to be replaced, transmission synchros or gear teeth for first gear could be damaged(chipped, missing or broken) or the shift selector shaft might need to be realigned and/or have it's bushings replaced.
Check the wiring to the shift solenoids on the side of the transmission. Stuff can fly up under the car and sever or damage them. That's what was wrong with my Kia.
Over drive all Kia rio's run on overdrive automatically button to turn off OD is on your gear shift
on the side of the shifter there is a od button
Sounds like a bad transmission. Speak with a certified mechanic in your area.
The button on the side of gear shift has been depressed! This holds transmission in lower gear and should not be used under normal driving!
you have the transmission locked in the " hold " for that gear. To get rid of it push the button on the automatic shift lever below the one you push to put in gear from park.
cable broke or out of adjustment, you can manually release it by putting a ice pick in the mechanical release hole on the shift lever console in an emergency to get yourself going but you nmust get it fixed or readjusted.
From previous experience, it is because your transmission is about to die. I'm now on the 3rd transmission and I only have 100 000km on the 2003 Kia Rio. Good luck!
it keeps the gear still on its current gear
