I was looking at the engine compartment drawings in the 2000 Ford Taurus Owner Guide and I noticed for the 3.0 liter VULCAN , V6 engine the engine oil fill cap was on the right side of the valve cover ( when standing at the front of the vehicle ) not too far from the battery --------------------------------------------------------------------------- The 3.0 liter DURATEC , Dual Over Head Cam , V6 engine has the oil fill cap on the left side of the valve cover near the engine oil dipstick


I believe that would be the 3.2 liter DOHC V6 engine that was used with the automatic( from 1993 to 1995 inclusive ) unless you mean the 2010 Taurus SHO with the 3.5 L -V6 - twin turbo engine
