check your Transmission Fluid level. If it's low, then reverse goes out first. If that doesn't do it, you may need to take it to a transmission shop..

If Reverse works and Drive doesn't in a Safari Van, the problem is in the transmission. The belts for the forward gears are either stretched too much or broken.

Pressure! Everything works on it in the tranny. I suspect a port internally is plugged since it works in drive OK. Possibly a filter! It needs to be opened up and checked.

its just the way polaris 4wd works. to get it working, stop the wheels spinning, hold the reverse override button, then go and u have 4wd in reverse :) its a bloodey pain, but that's why i have a Honda ;)
