I have replaced the part and this has fixed the problem.

It's not manually possible like it was on previous Wrangler model since the DRLs are programmed in the computer. You need to go to your dealer and ask them to configure it in the "Import" mode. If it's an older vehicle - no. But a newer vehicle might just be clever enough to monitor the coolant level and refuse the engine to be run empty.
