i have the same problem. i have good fuel pressure and new filter. it could possibly be related to airflow sensor or vacuum lines.
clean iac sensor and o ring
If a car stalls when pushing the accelerator, the car may be in park. The car may also be in neutral if the car stalls and does not move. A very dirty fuel filter or a faulty fuel pump could cause that condition also.
The idle speed needs adjusted upward if an engine stalls when you take your foot off the accelerator while stopping or turning.
dirty throttle plate.....
My 2000 Sonoma did the same thing. When the computer was plugged into it it showed no problems. Finally after several stalls the computer finally showed the accelerator position module was bad. I replaced that and no more in traffic stalls.
If your Volvo is an automatic transmission try changing the fuel filter.
the car is stalling because the revs dropped caused by the piston loosing compresion or the spark plugs are dead ...take it to the workshop i would :)
Suspect blocked accelerator pump in carbie, look in carbie throat operate accelerator and you should get a squirt of fuel. SU carbies don't have this problem.
There is no specific collective noun for stalls, in which case a collective noun suitable for the circumstances is used, for example a row of stalls, a group of stalls, a bank of stalls.
Have the same problem. 1999 ford escort. When at dead stop, sometimes, when peddal is pressed to go, car dies. Also , lately, chokes and dies at startup. Seems to be when its hot, .....I live in Hawaii. If you found the solution, radio it to me. Thanks, its been hard to find a similar problem
In Singapore, Sarabat Stalls are stalls selling drinks particularly milk tea
Check for an idle control problem. If the car runs when pressing lightly on the accelerator, that is your first suspect. Also check for adequate fuel pressure.
