I would suspect the fuel pump is bad.
Answer Thankfully the newer cars and trucks available today have a timer switch on the fan motor to run even if the motor isn't running, to ensure that the engine cools down and there is no damage done to your motor because it was shut off while hot.
depends on the year and motor but probably the ign module which on an older car is a silver box with two plugs running out of it or if it is newer it will be in the dist.
Check your fuses. Most newer cars have a lock switch for the transmission that prevents you putting it in gear unless you have your foot on the brake pedal.

I don't about the laws in your state, but in California the rule is that no matter what year car you're going to put the motor in...it MUST be the same year or newer. You can't install an older motor in a newer vehicle.
If you are running stock exhaust on a motor that doesnt have O2 sensors you will gain horse power. but on a newer vehicle the motors ecm relies on the reading of the sensor to run properly
When upgrading your General Motor tbi motor you are upgrading more than just one wire. To upgrade a motor it usually requires changing out the whole motor and not just one wire.
