there is a vacum actuator located on the passenger side of the vehicle.checck the vacum hose to make sure it is getting vacum when you enguage the switch or gear shifter.this has a cable that goes to the front difererential that acuates to engage the front diferential.the vacume hose may come loose.or the cable pulled out of the holder that connects to the acuator.
My 93 blazer has a vacum line behind the intake in front of the dis. it fell apart 4X4 stopped working i just replaced it it worked great 1993 4.3W
on a 91 blazer s10 4wd
A 4WD on a 2001 Chevy S10 Blazer does not work properly after changing its actuator and speed sensor probably due to shorted wires. Also check for loose wiring.Ê
Yes, you can put a 1998 4WD S10 drive-train on a 1997 Chevy Blazer. However, it will not be an easy process and will require a lot of work to get it installed correctly.
You don't. You sell the 4wd to a person who wants it and buy something else!!!
Could be a blown fuse.
3,893 Lbs. 1769.5 Kg. 1.95 Tons
It would bolt in but you would have fuel injection problems.
Horn valve? Please give more info.
i have a 94 late model s10 blazer and i am having the same problem, and it is either the vacume hoses are cracked/ leaking, or your 4wd actuator is dead, the best way to fix this problem is at 4x4posilock.com they have a kit that includes everything to convert your truck from that stupid electronic 4wd, to a cable operated switch, which allows you to 2wd hi 4wd hi, 2wd lo and 4wd lo
Up front, under the power steering pump, not easy to get to.
your "vaccum" switch where the vaccum lines hook to the trasnfer case. is broken, which means it is held open.
it could be the idler arm. i have a 96 s10 blazer and the idler arm is bad everytime i parallel park and cut the wheel all the way in either direction my front end pops
YES IT CAN BE DONE BUT YOU HAVE TO HAVE A ETHER A 4WD BLAZER OR S10 THE FRAME IS 2 PEICES WELDED TO GATHER THERE ARE 2 DIFFIRNT FRONT FRAME HALFS 4WD AND 2WD JUST SAPARATE THE TO HALFS AND PUT THE 4WD HALF ON YOUR FRAME AND THEN SWITCH THE REAR END FROM THE 4WD TO THE 2WD AND YOU HAVE A 4WD
what is the wheel base for 1985 s10 blazer
Try getting a new swich button
Yes it will fit.
Answerit should but to be sure ask a pro. contact your local dealer or parts store and have them look it up for you if they are both 2wd or both 4wd both yes. GM used the same automatic for them from 96 to 03
We need to know what year that S10 Blazer is.
The S10 nomenclature was dropped after 1994... from that point on, it was just known as the Blazer, while the K5 was dropped and replaced by the Tahoe.Answering your question, that vehicle will have a 4L60E auto transmission... any 4L60E from 1993 to present will work, so long as it matches the vehicle drive (e.g., 2WD transmission for 2WD vehicle, 4WD transmission for 4WD vehicle).
An alternator from a 2000 Chevy blazer will fit a 2002 S10 blazer with a little fabrication.
Your 4x4 fuse probably blew out.
there are many things that could potentially be wrong with your case. can u engage your 4wheel?
The answer depends on what you mean by SUV blazer. GM has manufactured two vehicles with the name Blazer and both were SUVs. The smaller S10/T10 (S denotes 2wd and T denotes 4wd) Blazers were built on GM's small truck platform. A larger SUV simply named "Blazer" was built on the full size C/K (C denotes 2wd and K denotes 4wd) truck platform. In 1995 the full size Blazer was renamed to Tahoe and the S10/T10 designation was dropped from the smaller SUV. This change was in name only; the "Tahoe" continued to be built on the full size platform, and the new "Blazer" continued to be built on the small truck platform. Generally when this question is asked, it is in reference to the 1995+ Blazer models due to confusion caused by some sources referring to them as S10 Blazers while others refer to them as just Blazers. In reference to 1995+ Blazers, there is no difference in a S10/T10 Blazer and Blazer. Prior to 1995, as stated above, the differences are substantial.
