Something left unplugged or disconnected? Dumb luck? Some check engine lights are programmed to come on after a certain amount of miles. Maybe your car got to that mileage at the same time. I vote for the first one though. Use only Toyota original time belt

Would a check engine light in a 2000 VW Beetle have anything to do with low antifreeze The timing belt was replaced about 2 months ago?

The check engine light is for emission and electrical issues. It doesn't have anything to do with fluid levels. As far as the timing belt it depends if the light just came on, or if it has been on since the replacement.

2001 Pathfinder engine light problem you replaced 2 oxygen sensors then replaced 2 timing sensors the service engine light still on computer shows no code?

Wrong scanner?? If a check engine light is on, there are codes. Timing sensor? Check engine usually means a problem... Service means that scheduled service needs to be performed like oil change, or timing belt replacement. I would Check your Catalytic Converter. What often happens is the catalyst that is in the Catalytic converter Heats up and Blows out into your Muffler. This means It is not the sensor, but your converter and Muffler Need Replaced.I have just fixed two cars with this problem, and they had the same symptoms,Check engine Light.

Why does the check engine light come on after a timing belt change on a Toyota sienna 02?

There are many reasons why a check engine light could come on following a timing belt change. When the check engine light comes on there is a code stored in the computer to tell you why the light came on. Most auto parts stores will read the code for free.

How do you check the timing of your engine with your timing belt and timing marks without a timing light?

Kind of hard to see the timing marks while the engine is running if you don't have a timing light. Don't know what year or make your vehicle is, but if it is an older model, you can "set" the timing by ear by rotating the distributor slowly clockwise and/or clockwise until you get the best "purr" of the engine. This method should suffice until you can get a timing light for more precise setting. but if the car want start how do you check it
