In my experiences with Aerostars, your "problem" is actually a feature. It is a safety measure to ensure that you can see to your destination without tripping on things if they shut off after let's say 3-5 minutes it is just a feature to ensure your safety. Reading the owner's manual or investing in a Haynes Repair Manual will further investigate this "problem" and give you a solution.
The parking lights are turned on when the headlights are on and you pull out on the light switch. The parking lights cannot be turned on by themselves.
if you leave the parking lights switch "ON" the lights will remain on, even if the car has been turned off.
The most likely answer is that the parking light switch on top of the steering column is turned on. --Ken The parking light switch is turned off,the engine is turned off, they are still flashing
Between your steering wheel and your instrument panel on your steering column, you will find a small rocker switch that controls the parking lights. I can't tell you why it is there, but it does turn the parking lights off and on independent of the ignition and headlight switch.
Some Subarus have a switch on the top of the steering column that turns on the parking lights. Hopefully this is the problem and would be an easy fix. Daniel
Can't say for sure on the 2007, but my 2000 has a rocker switch at the top of the steering column to turn the parking lights on when the key is off.
its on timed delay, lights stay on or come on while exiting vehical to make it easier
The switch on the top of your steerin wheel is turned on instead of off The switch on the top of your steerin wheel is turned on instead of off
The switch is probably bad or you aren't turning the knob all the way off.
Check bulbs Check fuse for parking/tailights Check brake light fuse
ignition will be turned off and keys left in ignition, transmission placed in park (automatic) or reverse (manual), parking brake set, parking lights/emergency flashers on
There is a switch on top of the steering column dead center. You must have accidently turned it on. It's a parking light.
