it would definatly be the hood switch. if you look on the drivers or passenger side on the top of the fender you should see a switch there. just make sure that there is a wire attached to it. If there is, then the sensor is broke. Hop in your Jeep and head over to the "lovely" dealer and get a new one. Have Fun! +++In addition. if you push down on the hood and the light goes out then something is in between the hood and fenders or the switch is out of adjustment.
