Yes but you'll need new shifter, shifter cables, axles, ecu, header+down pipe, fan, radiator, engine mounts, etc. It's not exactly a common swap so you aren't gonna find a lot of info online about doing the swap. Also, when putting the new shifter in try the Karcepts kit with the Buddy Club short shifter and the shifter mounting kit. It's the easiest to install. Requires some drilling/cutting but overall not too hard. You should be able to use your stock exhaust center pipe but you'll need a new muffler since your stock one, well if you have a stock one will most likely create too much back pressure. Also, if you're getting the H23 Blue top from hmotors then you'll need a new down pipe since it doesn't come with one and the best way to go is to just get some new megan racing headers since it comes with the down pipe and you'll be getting better flow. But make sure that you have a certain amount of back pressure in your exhaust. It's better for the engine.

Are h23a and h23a1 the same motor I see motors selling as h23a but never any mention of them in any Honda books only h23a1?

There are two types of H23... the h23a is the jdm model of the non-vtec h23, there is also the usdm version also known as the h23a1... anything with digit on engine code is usdm... But it would be absolete to only mention those two. In Japan there is also a h23a which can be known as "blue top" or H23 vtec. Came from the SiR accord in japan.

Does a 2.2 transmission on a 1993 Honda Prelude fit a 2.3 engine on a Honda Prelude?

Yes. The H22a and H23a motors can interchange transmissions.

What is the fastest motor you can fit in a 91 Honda accord?

The 91 Accord engine bay will fit a Prelude H22A or H23A motor without too much modification. You should even be able to use the same wiring harness on earlier donor car motors. If the donor motor is from a pre 1995 it should basically bolt in. The 91 Accord engine bay will fit a Prelude H22A or H23A motor without too much modification. Will a 1993 Honda Prelude h23a motor or motor transmission combo be fitted into a 1981 Honda Accord?

The H23 was a pretty big motor. People have a hard time fitting them into integras and civics. When they do its too front heavy to be worth driving. (i.e. poor steering) Your accord has an even smaller engine compartment and even poorer suspension. Bad idea. Try a D series engine. Much cheaper, lighter, big boost from what you have.

will a h23a vtech work in a 92 prelude? what extra will be needed or changed besides a chipped p28 ecu ..? I have a 92' Honda prelude s.i. with a h23a1 non vtech and im going to swap, but i need answers before i buy this engine..

How do you determine jdm spec?

To tell if your motor is a JDM or not, look on the block, kinda deep in there, and there will be a little square, and for instance, there are H22's and H23A;s, but there will be that and a series of numbers along with it, if that series or numbers isn't with it, its a JDM. My prelude is H23A then 1387979798 w/e, if the numbers arent there, its JDM.

What is the best spark plug brand for 2001 Honda prelude?

I use regular ngk spark plugs BUT i have a f22b motor from an accord in my prelude which isn't high compression like the h23a that i had in it or the h22a in that case i would use the ngk or denso iridium spark plugs. You can buy them at any automotive store (though some stores might have to order them. You can find them for cheaper online too).
