yes it will fit easily, plenty of room.
if your car is a V8 now it should bolt in with no problem.
drop a 440 in it using motor plates to hold the engine in for performance, if your car is a 318 a 340 or a 360 will bolt into the 318 motor mounts.
i have a 1970 dodge dart with a slant 6, 225 and need to know if a 318 out of 1970 dodge dart will mount up with the motor mounts and tranny.
yes it will but you will have to buy motor plates to mount it in the car as the 318 motor mounts won't work.
What is the condition
either change the k-frame or use motor plates to mount the engine.
If it's a 6cyl it will be the 225 slant six, if it's the v8 more than likely it will be the 318.
the motor mounts should be the same, as the 318 is the same block as the 340, the only thing I can think of is the oil pan was different on the 340.
I would not do that if I were you....
Yes these cars came from the factory with an optional 340 V8 so the 318 will definately fit. Of course there will be modifications needed to motor mounts, radiator, and transmission
All main bearing caps should be tightened to 85 foot-pounds.
A-108 transmission.
