yes. it should work fine.
Yes it will but you will have to change the computer and the wiring harness to make the engine run. You will also have to change the fuel pump that is inside of the gas tank. Alot of work to make that year engine work in the 93 truck.
YES IT WILL FIT RIGHT IN THERE, But it will never run right. You would have to change a lot of stuff. It would be nice if all you had to do was reprogram the computer. But there's more to it then that. Wireing, fuel system, Distributor, Computor. YES IT CAN BE DONE. Lot of money, work and know how. ( SMARTS )
It would bolt in place, but you would have to rewire the entire truck to get the computer to work and the engine to start.
You would have to have the engine and transmission wiring harness and fuel pump harness. And you would have to install an electric fuel pump that will pump No lower then 9 LBS. and NO higher then 13 LBS. in the fuel tank. You will also have to get and install a ECM / ENGINE CONTROL MODULE / COMPUTER IN THE TRUCK. Basically you will need alll the ELECTRONICS FROM the 1994 and install all of it in the 85 truck and you will have a NICE ride. GOOD LUCK
The computer won't work properly if you do. The engine would be the simple/inexpensive part. The computer and rewiring would be cost prohibitive.
It will fit but it won't work and the truck will never run right. Reason is that the 95 is ALL computer controled. The transmission and engine and speed sensors ALL WORK TOGETHER. So you can't put a 1990 700R4 transmission in a truck that MUST have the 4L60E in it Because the 95 truck ECM / Engine controll module/computer will be wondering were the transmission is and the engine won't even run right. You will have nothing but problems. PUT THE 4L60E BACK IN IT and be done with it.
does a computer box out of the 1993 sliverdo truck have the same code numbers and will it work in a 1992 sliverdo truck.
If you don't want any PROBLEMS and would like for the engine and transmission to work RIGHT. Then You MUST put the 4L60E transmission back in it. If you put any other kind of transmission in it you will have nothing but PROBLEMS due to the computer system / ECM that camefactory in the 94 truck.
Any 5.7L 350 TBI ( Throttle Body Injection ) Engine from the year 1987 to 1995 will fit right in there with no problems and the computer on your truck will still work.
NO it will not. The computer system is DIFFERENT for those 2 transmission.
Depends on the engine and the work load being placed on the truck.
