I believe you can do that there gm engines and both v-6s i have a 1983 s-10 and put a crate engine in it and it looked identical to the one that was in a Pontiac sunfire so i think it would. if you can stick a 350 in them i cant see what you could not put in them,within reason of course hope i helped you....
If its a V6, the 2000 grand am would have to be a GT. If it's a 4 cyl, then yes it could fit.

That is a front wheel drive, transverse mounted motor, so I do not see it. The Grand Prix, now, would work, because they did it in the Impala. The Grand am is a little too small.
