If you are trying to drop the front end 4 inches I would recommend replacing the stock front spindles with 3 inch drop spindles and replacing the front coil springs with 1 inch drop springs. If you cut the front springs to drop the front end 4 inches, proper alignment will be impossible.
I really doubt you can make 20's work.
No, a 12 inch wheel cannot be directly replaced with a 16 inch wheel on a unicycle. The diameter of the wheel determines the size of the frame and other components, so a larger wheel would not fit properly without making necessary adjustments to the unicycle.
Thats fairly easy actually. You can replace the front spindles with dropped spindles. New dropped spindles are around $89 to $100 a set. Most offer a 2.5 inch drop in the front which is typically enough to give a bug a nice raked stance. The rear however takes a little more work. I won't sit and explain exactly how to do it but, I'll post a link for you to follow. http://www.meyersmanx.com/garage/garage_suspend.htm Great info on how to do it. Hope it helps.
The difference between the length and the weight is called the "drop"; so a 34 inch bat that weighs 24 ounces would be a drop 10
There are a few really cheap weighs to drop one. The first is to cut the springs in the front and pull some leafs out of the back(free option). The next is to cut the springs in the front and put blocks in the back(up to four inch drop in back about $50). Then you could do it the right way and buy drop spindles for the front and blocks or leafs for the back.
I'm guessing you cant with that size of wheel.
I got a 85 Cutlass that's lowered i mean it's in the weeds, for lowriders they make drop spindles, air bags and hydraulics. The best answer i could give you would be to air bag your ride for height change and instead of drop spindles go with raised spindles which in return will raise the stock height.AnswerI just bought a 1984 cutlass supreme brougham yesterday i have a set of 22's that im about to put on it and if they fit i will let you know. but they should have no prob fitting as long as you have car tires and f$%k it if it rubs cause i havent had a set that didnt rub my truck and Tahoe would rub sometimes only if i was turning and hit a bump.............. First off I have a 85 cutlass on some 22's I got air suspention on tha back N got a 6 inch lift in tha front N it still rubs u gotta watch out though ur steering wheel will start to get play in it if it rubs 2 much, i got a set of 27in lexanis im puttin gon mine i jus gotta get it mounted up!!
yes they will fit you just need a 8 or 8.5 inch wide wheel with high offset. the offset is very important if it is to low they will rub. 8 inch wide wheel i would go no lower that a +35 offset and on the 8.5 wheel i would go no lower than +38 offset.
14 inch...
Doubtful if a 14 inch wheel will clear the brakes.Doubtful if a 14 inch wheel will clear the brakes.
install 3 inch raised spindles/this won't affect ride quality
