When you can not figure out why your car makes a strange noise, you take it to a mechanic.
no,if it is normal functional sound.if it is grinding or making some other kind of noise then there is definitely an issue.
It depends on what is making the noise.
A timing chain is something that will normally last until the engine needs an overhaul. It is starts making a noise, or you cannot keep the engine timed, it may need replacing. Otherwise it is not an item you replace at a set interval.A timing chain is something that will normally last until the engine needs an overhaul. The converter is clogged or the engine is running way to rich or has a misfire.
If by motor you mean the engine. If the car is running and it's not making much noise turn in the a/c in the car and if the noise gets worse I would replace your air conditioning pp
If you hold the fan, with the engine NOT running, and try to move it side to side and there is not any play in it and it is not leaking, then you can assume that it is good. If it is making noise then it is defective.
If the engine running you hear the engine rev up. Describe noise, is it when in park or when driving? Does it hurt the performance of the vehicle?
the screeming kids in the back!!!..wouldn't have it any other way:)....this is the dumbest one I've seen yet...is there a problem or do you just want to know what makes noise when an engine is running?
There could be numerous reasons why a Suburban is making engine noise at start up. It could be anything from a blown gasket to a spark plug. A mechanic will be able to find out the cause of the noise.
A bad compressor belt can cause a whistling noise while running the air conditioner. A bad engine can also cause this noise.
If you are lucky it may be the crankshaft pulley. sometimes they break and make a lot of noise. But, if it is making a metal in the engine kind of noise it may be time to look for a new car.
1st thought is you need shims if the flywheel is hitting the starter. What is the year and model of the vehicle?
