check the fuel pump and sending unit in the fuel tank
Since you had to unplug the wire connector, there is most likely damage to the connector. Check it carefully.
Check fuel pressure.
Might just be the bearings in the front wheels. Check that. Also, a smart thing to check will be the water pump, if the pump is bad, makes it sound like the front main bearings in the engine are bad. And, hopefully there is nothing wrong with the engine. Good luck.

Most likely the alt. not charging. Check it with a volt meter on the battery while the engine is running. Should read 14 or so volts.
Should be around the oil filter, check the manual if not there.
check to make sure the belt tensioner is functional if not it needs to be replaced
Check all the fuses, if all are good, check the shut off relay.
check your crank sensor
What year? check the ignition module. see manual
If you are paying $ 300 for the car, then you just might have to put a thousand or more in for repairs. Check it out.
check front axle bearings.
Check for fuel and spark.
Check the choke first to insure that it is working properly. Next check the computer codes for any possible issues that may be shown.
Check engine light? You have to plug the computer in to read the faults. If you do not have one, then most good service shops have, and for a small fee will help you.
If you mean will crank, but no fire, then check for spark and fuel. If you mean will not crank, then check the wiring and the starter.
