There is a sensor that is in the overflow bottle that may be bad causing the "low coolant light" to illuminate. The coolant level switch is located on the bottom side of the coolant tank. The switch contains a reed switch and a magnetic float. When the coolant level is normal, the float rests away from the reed switch, causing the switch to be open. When the coolant level decreases in the coolant recovery tank below a specified level, the float rests on the reed switch and the switch closes, illuminating the LOW COOLANT light. The coolant level switch is a part of the coolant tank. If the switch needs to be replaced, the coolant tank must be replaced.
If it is the low coolant light, it may mean your coolant is low. If it is not low, it may be the low coolant light sensor malfunctioning.
Coolant leak possibly no fluid in radiator, hence the picture of a radiator.
its useful to add fluid to the radiator and itll reset itself ,,,,,,,,, check coolant temp sensor.
Low coolant?Bad sensor?
It is the radiator warning light. Usually it indicates low radiator fluid level. I have had this come on when I have had some minor radiator leaks leading to radiator coolant level going down.
Bad sensor? == ==
When the engine is cold, check the level of the coolant in the reservoir. Make sure it's up to the mark on the side. Make sure you get the reservoir cap on tight.
The light is not a coolant light, it is a temperature light which comes on when the temperature of the coolant is above the limits. In other words you engine is overheating. Can be defective thermostat, bad water pump, clogged radiator, or blown head gasket.
Check coolant level in coolant recovery tank and radiator
Fill your coolant reservoir and the light should turn off. Do it soon or your engine may over heat.
Low coolant in coolant recovery tank or radiator or defective sensor
The yellow radiator light on your Honda Accord is an indicator of low coolant in the radiator. The red radiator warning light is an indication of the engine overheating.
