Low coolant?Bad sensor?
there is a light we dont know what it means
its right next to the valve cover on the driver side behind the coolant sensor
Either coolant is low or the sensor in the reservoir is stuck with dirt. Clean the reservoir with soap and water
Check your overflow bottle to make sure there is adequate coolant in there. If there is, the coolant level sensor is faulty and must be replaced.
Your check engine light just dosent check only your coolant. It's a light for your OBD (ON BOARD DIAGNOSTIC) system. That light reads numorus sensors. you will have to get a code reader hooked up to your car. if i would guess, it would probly be your o2 sensor.(oxygen sensor) --------------------------------------- For what it's worth, make sure that you tighten your fuel cap securely. If it's loose, it will "throw" a code. Most auto parts stores will read the codes for you at no charge. FriPilot

I have a 1998 Sunfire and am getting my coolant sensor replaced today. I am told by the dealer that it is located in the housing of the plastic reserve bottle. Basically I am told you have to replace the entire bottle. Hope that helps? I just unplugged mine it was a lot cheaper
it probably needs an O2 sensor they range from about 40-90 dollars
