Your check engine light just dosent check only your coolant. It's a light for your OBD (ON BOARD DIAGNOSTIC) system. That light reads numorus sensors. you will have to get a code reader hooked up to your car. if i would guess, it would probly be your o2 sensor.(oxygen sensor) --------------------------------------- For what it's worth, make sure that you tighten your fuel cap securely. I have a 1998 Sunfire and am getting my coolant sensor replaced today. I am told by the dealer that it is located in the housing of the plastic reserve bottle. Basically I am told you have to replace the entire bottle. Hope that helps? I just unplugged mine it was a lot cheaper
