I locked my keys in the little part between the trunk and the car itself so It's not even in the trunk or the car it's stuck in the middle area! Everything would be perfectly fine if the car had a trunk release besides the keys like every other normal car in the world. But it does not seem to. :( Stupid car.
This may or may not help, but my '96 had a trunk release on the floor to the left
of the driver's seat. Look between the seat and the door sill.
beside the drivers seat...on the floor
The 1999 Buick LeSabre was a popular car for its time. The trunk release latch is located on the lower left hand side of the drivers seat.
it seem to be the trunk plastic is broke and I have brought the the part and wont to fix it
Usually the key FOB has a trunk latch, but if the battery runs out or you don't have a key FOB, check next to the drivers door, next to the gas release lever, there should be a trunk release lever.
The trunk light switch on a Pontiac Sun Fire is typically in the latch assembly. This is usually inside the trunk and under the carpet.
To change the trunk release cable in a 1997 Pontiac Sunfire, first, open the trunk and remove the interior trim panel to access the cable mechanism. Disconnect the old cable from the latch and the release handle inside the car. Replace it with the new cable, ensuring it’s properly routed and secured. Finally, reattach the interior trim panel and test the trunk release to ensure proper function.
there should be a latch or your drivers key will open it
it "should" be to the right side and bellow steering wheel .if it is equipped with one.maybe check at trunk latch first to determine the car has this"option" In my 2001 Sunfire, it is on the left side bellow the steering wheel.
i am 99% sure that its in the glovebox, if not than look on the left side of the drivers side on the floor under the door
What kind of Pontiac? Bonneville, Grand Am, Grand Prix, Firebird, Sunbird, Sunfire, Parisenne, etc? You probably have a bad latch, replace it I just ran across this on my car and all I had to do was check latch alignment and align the latch
It's on the floor near the drivers left foot.
The latch itself is held on with bolts, easy enough to change. The release cable has to be fed down the inside of the rocker panel and into the trunk.
