The cap and rotor on the L99 and LT1 are located on the end of the camshaft.....you must remove the water pump and the harmonic balancer, this would be a good time to replace plug wires.....MSD and ACCEL make kits for this, you will need some small wrenches......I have replaced complete systems three times........wires should be replaced from under the car.....safety is a must!!!
