To replace the light bulb in the center console of your 2002 Cadillac Seville, first ensure the vehicle is turned off and the keys are removed. Carefully pry off the console cover using a flathead screwdriver or trim tool to avoid damage. Locate the bulb socket, twist it counterclockwise to remove it, and then replace the old bulb with a new one. Reassemble the console by snapping the cover back into place.

You will need to remove the center console cover. The lightbulb will be attached to the inside of the center console. Push the lightbulb in and turn at the same time to remove it. Reverse the process to install the new lightbulb.
I do not beleive your jeep uses bulbs in the console. I have a 2000 grand cherokee and it uses a light strip that is part of the console and can only be replaced with the shifter assembly....... I plan to cut the wires from the light strip and install a pep boys console light that uses replacable bulbs....probably will just lay it in there as long as it is protected and safe... Good luck

Toyota Camry 1999 model - replacement of interior console light
Remove the center console to get at the burned out bulb. Consult the vehicle manual to learn how to do this as different models may have slight differences.
Easier than you might think. All you have to do is remove the center console cover. The light is attached to the shift linkage. To remove the cover, pull the center storage area box toward the rear of the car. It'll pop out, no screws holding it in. Carefully set aside on the passenger floor. Now, remove the shift knob by unscrewing it and lift the center console cover from front to rear. Again, no tools required, it'll just pop off. Look for the light bulb right where you'd expect it to be to illuminate the console markings. Replace the bulb (the correct number is in your owner's manual or take the old one to an auto supply store to match it) and snap the cover then storage console back into place. Done! Cheers
You have to remove the console cover. This starts with two screws in the console storage tray.
