Bad fuel pump? Possible bad relay under driver side dash; third one back from front of dash; I had problem where engine would sometimes crank but not start and could not hear fuel pump energize when key was turned on.
Yes, it will. Remove the starter and have it tested at you local auto parts store. But make sure the battery is not the culprit.
I have had the same problem with my teg. my mate has had the same problem with his prelude. I think it may be computer related. I have found that by turning the key very slowly just before it clicks seems to solve it. I don't undeestand why, but this works for me. This first started happening at about 240000kms Your problem is the solenoid in the starter motor. I had the same problem and got my starter reconditioned for $200au. starts first go every time now
Sounds like the starter solenoid is stuck. Another possibility is the ignition key switch is not automatically returning from the start to run position. As the switches get older they seem to get stiff. Could be a weak spring in the switch or just gummed up lubricant. The easy test is to try turning the key counter clockwise after starting the engine and see if the starter motor stops running.
It sounds like the solenoid is working but the starter is not. Check the wires on the starter. Possibly the starter has gone bad.
Could be a bad starter drive or a broken tooth on flywheel/converter Try turning motor manually (make sure it is in neutral if std.) by using a large socket on the crankshaft. If starter works this way probably a bad tooth if not, probably a bad starter drive
my turning signals dont work on my 91 integra LS. They were working a day before. so the next day they werent. I also had battery problems but i had checked every single fuse and the fuses arent burn. My turning signals do not work what so ever.
Check your brakes and CV joints
Do you have any click in the starter itself but still not turning over? Then its the starter giving you fits. Replace it. If no click is heard then it could be a fuse or more likely the starter relay. Check them both before moving to the starter.
The starter drive is shot. Replace the starter and hope the ring gear isn't damaged.
there are some possible problems, starter motor could be burnt out or fuel pump might not be working. turn the key to the on position (without turning over) if you can hear a small "humming" sound the fuel pump is working. i suspect the starter motor is on its way out.
broken tooth on the fly wheel if your starter is turning over and not just spining what's wrong if the starter's just spinning?
The starter is located near the transmission on the drivers side of the 1992 Plymouth Voyager. The starter is responsible for turning the engine over.
The starter could be bad. Or the battery. The starter could be bad. Or the battery.
a bad starter
my guess would be the starter selinoid
The soleonoid on the starter is bad. When you buy a new starter it comes with the solenoid. Try tapping on the starter with a hammer if it starts after that then this is your problem
More than likely the starter is defective.
