Are there reset buttons on a 2001 Saturn L series you ran it out of gas and now it will not crank up after putting gas into it?

No there is no reset button. The problem is that the fuel lines from the tank to the engine have emptied. If your engine turns over but will not fire you may want to let the car sit for a little while so the fuel can fill up the lines. if this does not work you may want to consider a clogged fuel filter, being a 2001 if you have never had it changed it may be part of the problem. Normally the fuel pump turns on for a few seconds when the key is turned to the on position and this pressurizes the lines. You should be able to hear the pump if you listen near the tank.

Perhaps a blown fuel pump. Take a plug wire out and use a spare plug and set it on a piece of metal and crank it and look for the spark. This will eliminate an ignition problem.

take the plug wire off one of the plugs leave it in the hole have somebody crank the engine listen for the spark tick should be very loud do this on all four cylinders one at a time if you have no spark on any of the cylinders it is the crank sensor
