usually coolant leaks come from bad gaskets... or a bad water pump.. i would say drain the system and run water through the radiator (do NOT drive with water in the radiator, your engine will surely overheat!) and see if you can spot where the coolant is coming from... if it is coming from the engine block then you might have bad gaskets.. if not then it's the water pump.
No, you have a leak in the radiator most likely or somewhere in the cooling sysetem. ie a hose possibly. If it is your radiator and dont want to spend the money on a whole new one a simple fix is to go buy stop leak from your local automotive store. If it is a hose a new one is in order, which is not too costly. The reason it only leaks when it is not running is because when it is running the pressure holds the hole shut or pushes something against the hole.
Yes but it needs to be changed VERY SOON
That's exactly what it is, water. The products of combustion are water and carbon dioxide. While the exhaust stays hot the water comes out as high temperature steam, usually you don't even notice it. When the exhaust pipe and/or outside temperature is cold enough the exhaust will cool and some of the water vapor will condense into steam and possibly even water that drips from a weep hole in the muffler. If you're seeing a little water drip from the muffler, everything is working as designed.
The apartment utilities working normal have a running water ,a electricity the water pipes working properly the gesture and all the electrical items.
The engine needs to be flushed.the coolant ports have a build up of gunk causing the engine to run hotter. The heated water expands to much causing it to over flow from the reserve tank.
Fuel injectors need to be replaced every so often. If the fuel injectors are not working, they may be too old, and need to be replaced or put in properly.
Have it checked out. Probably engine coolant working its way into the oil. Possibly head gasket and/or cracked head at fault.
If you have lost a sufficient amount of coolant this will stop the heater working because there will be no hot water in the heater rad.
It could be a number of things, a clogged radiator, bad thermostat, low coolant, hoses leaking coolant, radiator fan not working,or a leaking head gasket. Hope this helps you.
You could be leaking coolant, your blower fan might not be working, etc.
Because your jeep wrangler is over heating, you must have a sensor in the dash not working If that smoke is steam, the heater core is leaking and in need of replacement.
If there is coolant on an engine, it is likely a seal or a hose is leaking or broken. It should be repaired immediately or the engine may seize up and quick working.
Cooling system airbound? Temperature control not working? Low coolant? Water pump not circulating coolant?
A thermostat not working properly could be blocked with semi-solid coolant.
If it is leaking or noisy then it is bad. You should also be able to see the coolant flow with the engine cool and radiator cap off. Give it time to warm up and you will see the movement of coolant if it is working.
my blinkers are not working when the vehicle is cold and it makes this buzzing sound but after a while it works just fine. do you know what this can be? or what i need to check
Damaged or failed oxygen sensor, engine coolant temperature sensor not working properly, damaged or leaking exhaust, retarded spark timing or the oxygen sensors in front and behind the converter are reporting too similar of readings. Leaking fuel injectors or high fuel pressure could also cause it.
Check the coolant in the 96 Taurus. Check to insure that the thermostat is working properly, and that the water pump is working.
Various possibilities including thermostat, low coolant, weak coolant, cylinder head gasket, cylinder head. could aso be your electric fan not working leaking heater core!
