go to any auto store and buy new pins and bushings. open door, cut off pins. knock out the pins that are left after cutting. intall new bushings, then new pins, most times this can be accomplished with out removing hinges
The door needs to be supported on a jack with a helper steadying it. With the hinge either on the truck or off, hammer the pin out of the hinge. You may need to grind the tip off to get it out. Hammer the bushings out then install the new bushings in as well as the pin. Do the same for the other hinge.
Before you try to make adjustments, check the hinge pins and bushings. When they wear out the door drops. Depending on the vehicle, your local auto parts store should have pin and bushing kits available. Replacng the worn pins and bushings will restore the door alignment back to normal.
Hey Lee==Simply remove the hindge bolts and remove the door. Some are welded on and you sometimes can remove the hinge pins. GoodluckJoe
When you draw this, use a pencil and make very light lines.First, find a hard back book, like a textbook. Open it to any page and stand it up on a table where you can walk all around the table to see all sides or views of it.Second, go open a door and look at the hinge that is nailed or screwed into the door and doorway jam. Really study how it looks when you move the door closer to fully open, and closing it.The two flat hinge pieces are like the front and back covers of your book. The spine is like the middle of the hinge.Try drawing the middle piece first. Make a straight line for the middle or center of the hinge. Next, make the back piece first. Instead of making the edges even with the paper, have the top right slightly higher on that corner, e.g. slightly above the top of your hinge middle piece. Now, try to draw the front piece so that you can still see part of the back flat piece. Make sure to look at your book on the table, to try to get the angles correct.Lastly, erase any lines for the back piece that you should not / would not see if looking at a real 3D hinge.
You need bushings in the bottom door hinge. You might have to remove the finder to get to it. You might trying to go to a you pull it and find a good hinge from a 89 to 97 Thunderbird or Cougar. It would be less work.
Lift the door from the bottom if you can move it up and down your bolts on the door to hinge bolts could be loose or the main pin that hold the door hinge from the car and door may have elongated the hole making the door drop down.
My advice based on experience is to replace the entire hinge assembly.
There are two different sizes of bushings for each hinge. On the Top door hinge the bushing go on the body side. The smaller of the two goes on the top hinge with the shoulder of the bushing on the top side of the hinge. The Larger bushing goes on the bottom of the hinge with the shoulder of the bushing on the bottom of the hinge. On the lower hinge the bushing go on the door side of the the hinge. The larger of the bushings go on the upper side of the hinge and the smaller bushing goes on the lower side of the hinge. When you put the pins in, the pin will go from bottom to top on the upper hinge and from top to bottom on the lower hinge. The pins will need to be tapped into place with a hammer. Be careful to not break the shoulder of the bushing. There is a tool that makes reinstalling the door spring a snap. It will probably cost $40, but it will save your knuckles and a lot of time. There are a couple of companies that make repair kits for these. On is from Dorman and the other is from HELP! The kits come with a small bushing, a large bushing, a pin, and a pin retainer. The retainers will look different depending on the company. Some look just like a thin washer and other look like an E-clip. If you go to an automotive parts house and ask for bushing and pin kits for you specific outfit they should know what you are talking about.
by using only the information given, your answer is to replace the lower door hinge pin and bushing.

I remove the door, weld up the holes and redrill them to the correct size.
Buy a hinge pin and bushing kit then rebuild the hinge on the vehicle and avoid trying to remove the hinge off the vehicle.
all hinge pins need to be cut out with a tortch or hammer off the top of the bushing with a hammer and screw driver
Most problems with an automobile door hinge is worn out bushings. There is a small rubber bushing behind the adjustment bolts. Replace the bushings.
It's bolted on the body, welded on the door. Door pin/bushing replacement guide: http://www.digitalrevo.com/jeep/doorpins.html
need to replace door hindge pins and bushing, how do we get door off safely.
The pin will probably have to have the bottom end that is flared out cut off or drilled out. The pin can then be tapped out. This is easier if the hinge has been removed but then the door will have to be blocked up into place while the hinge is off.
11 years in Ford bodyshops says--"REPLACE the hinge assemblies" - when the bushing goes it usually tears up the hinge and pin too!! AT least you will have to JB weld the new bushings in. All of the above require yoy to r+i the door assy be sure to mark where the hinges are before you remove--paint or nail polish that comes off easily w/thinner is best bet to mark with. billieb out
