to remove speed bit accelerator from my PC
replacing speed senor is not a hassle. all you have to do is find SPEED SENSOR, all cars are different, in my honda theres 4, i have replaced two already. speed sensor should be on transmission. remove bolts and pull out. simple put in new sensor.
There isn't a way to disable the governor. The computer takes input from the engine speed and vehicle speed, when it reaches a certain point (actually about 97MPH) the computer shuts off the fuel injectors and ignition at the coil util the speed drops back down.
The speed sensor is on the front passenger side of the car. Loosen the nuts on the wheel, then jack it up. remove the wheel. As you look where the wheel was, to your left is the speed sensor. It is at an angle, angled towards the back of the car. first unhook the wires attached. you can do this by hand. next, remove the bolt that is holding the speed sensor on. I believe it is a 10mm, and you will need a deep socket. once you remove the bolt, the sensor slides right out. Also, make sure you replace the "O" ring on the sensor. this is an easy job.
