If it is anything like my 2001 Ford Escape XLT you have to remove the bumper. or at least loosen enough to get to the headlight straps. My husband and I just changed the bumper, grille, and drivers fog and headlight assemblies (we hit a deer and deductible was to high). Our headlight had four bolts holding it in and 2 electrical plugs. Simple job when the bumper is off. The bumper has two bolts right under the hood, seven underneath, two snaps under the license plate, three in each wheel well and one where the bumper meets the fender (kind of a bugger to get at this one but we did it). It took us about 4 hours. We aren't mechanics but have done a few small projects before.
It appears there are 3 small bolts (10mm(?) that hold the headlight assembly in place. Remove those and the entire headlight will come out - that will make access to the bulb a whole lot easier!Twist the collar-type retainer on the back of the headlamp to release the bulb socket - pull straight out.NOTE: Do not touch the glass of the new halogen bulb - the oils in the skin will shorten the life-span of the new bulb. Also - there are instructions and diagrams for this in the Owner's Manual that came with the car - See "Related Questions" for free online copy of the Owners ManualAnswerunder the hood you reach under the front cowling behind the headlight and gently pull the connector off (don't pry up on it or it will break) and then twist the ring holding it in and your set. Unbolting the battery on the drivers side and moving it in helps also. Just don't unbolt anything on the headlight or alignment can be off. Answerif it is the light bulb that needs changing then open the hood and behind the light fixture there will be a wire going into the fixture. at the end of the wire there is a rubber insulator connected to the fixture turn that counter clockwise and pull it out, and the connection should come out the bulb will be in the connection. then just simply replace and put it back in. if the fixture is broken then you will have to take it to a mechanic.
I believe you have to buy a whole new coil rail.
You can replace the whole thing, or you can use a restoration kit. You open it up by, I'm pretty sure, cutting the glue, then attach a buffer attachment to your drill. Then you use the solution and the buffer to clean up the lens before gluing it together again.
Open up the hood, Locate on top of headlight housing 3 flat head screws, place in a triangle patterned. remove all 3 and then using little flat handle slide out headlight housing. Some cars will have clips holding the socket in. Twist the socket a quarter turn counter clockwise, and pull out the socket. Grab the bulb, and pull it straight out. To replace the new bulb, never touch it with your bare fingers, as this will greatly shorten the bulb's life, if it even work's at all. Use a tissue or something else in that order to handle the new bulb. Push the new bulb into the socket, put the socket back into the housing, and twist a quarter turn clockwise to secure the socket into the fixture slide unit back into place, line up screw holes and replace screws tightly. I always like to test the bulb before I put everything back in securely.
see if theres any current going through the fuse or just replace the whole horn
To replace the headlight assembly on on 03 Jetta, the grill and front bumper have to be removed before you can get to the screws below the lamp.
If you're talking about the headlight, the "lens cover" is not a separate part, you need to replace the whole headlight assembly.
Well just the bulb or the whole assembly? If whole assembly, then you must remove ft bump. If bulb only ,depends on engine space and size of your hand, you can gain access to bulb behind headlight assembly.

If only the low-beam is out, you will need to replace the low-beam bulb. It is probably not necessary to replace the entire headlight assembly.
To replace the headlight bulb in a Nissan Pulsar a person must first find the headlight assembly which is slightly behind the lamp housing. Once the headlight assembly is accessed, all an individual would have to do is loosen the bulb a half turn and the whole thing comes out, then replace with the new bulb using the reverse method.
To replace the whole headlight, the bumper has to be taken off of the 00 Celica. No way around it. =\
They are inside the headlight assembly. If they are broken you will have to replace the whole assembly. The dealership will charge you about $1000 for two new ones. I found some online for $117 a piece and installed them myself. Hope that helps.
Open the hood. On top of the headlight assemblies, there's a curved metal rod. Pull that out, and you can pull the headlight assembly right out. From there, you turn the bulb ballasts counterclockwise and pull them out, and you can either replace the bulbs at that point, or the whole headlight assembly if necessary.
no, but you have to remove the complete assembly. There is a clip on the assembly inside the engine compartment - undo the clip and there is a tab that you push up and you should be able to feel the assembly move - sometimes you have to pry the outside of the headlight with a screwdriver and the whole thing slides out. Unplug the harness and open the back plastice and the bulb is there.
you can't. You have to replace the whole headlight assembly, it doesn't come apart. check the junk yards or eBay it's cheaper.
replace headlight Pontiac MontanaAssuming it is the same as my 1999, there are two "wing nuts" securing the entire plastic headlight assembly. One is mounted at the top-inboard(towards engine), And the other is outboard of the assembly. Once these two wingnuts are removed, carefully remove the whole assembly. The headlight bulb is contained in the socket... one quarter turn counter-clockwise will remove the socket from the housing.
