This is a big job. You really should have a shop manual before attempting this. There is a special procedure for removing intake manifold and head bolts and the same for reinstalling them. You'll also need some special tools including a torque wrench. Buy yourself a subscription to Alldata before atttempting this. It's $25 and will give you step by step instructions and illustrations to follow.

As far as I can tell, there is no EGR valve on 1993 Ford Aerostar 3.0L engines. I have searched and found none and the vacuum hose routing decal in the engine compartment does not show an EGR valve.
