Answer: yes it could have bent some valves or damaged a piston with one or more of the valves( could have punched hole in piston or smashed piston so hard that it damaged a bearing)
Zero. Do you meant MG Metro??
Yes
Yes, but your final gear ratios will be different. This URL discusses changing the transmission from a 1.3 into a 1.0 for a Suzuki Swift (the Metro is a re-badged Swift). The process should be the same in a Metro. www.teamswift.net/viewtopic.php?t=26466

The 1999 Chevrolet Geo Metro horn fuse can be found in the fuse box. The horn fuse will be in the second column, fifth from the bottom.
If the timing belt breaks the engine will just stop.No other damage will happen, there is clearance between the valves and the pistons. This happened to me. And I just rebuilt my 93 Geo convertible it had over 255,000 mi. It is a great little engine
can someone tell me how to adjust timing on a geo metro 1996
The timing marks on a 1993 Geo Metro are located on the on the camshaft and crankshaft sprockets. They must be aligned together to ensure proper initial timing.
When the timing belt breaks, the engine goes completely out of sync. The engine dies and cannot be restarted. It is my understanding that the 1993 Geo Metro 1.0 has a non-interference engine. What that means is that though the belt breaks, chances are the engine is not destroyed and replacing the timing belt will resolve the problem. In the case of an interference engine, unusually the engine pistons come in contact with the valves and causes severe engine damage. Regularly replacing the timing belt according to the manufactures recommendations, will keep the engine running smoothly for many years.
i need timeing marks for a 1999 1.3 chevy metro
Luckily in the Geo the valves never travel down far enough for the piston to hit it so even with the timing belt broken its safe you can crank the car over til your blue in the face with out hurting anything.
Chevy Metro 2001 (1.3 L) has a timing belt - hard driving conditions require its replacement at 60,000 miles, otherwise the timing belt replacement is scheduled for 100,000 miles.
-6 degrees BTDC
On my 2000 Metro with a 1.3L the mark and slot marked with the "E" are used.
