Did you screw up the cam timing while replacing the water pump? Did you try manipulating th throttle control (gas pedal) when trying initial engine start after major repair? Did you forget do plug something important back in?

Try replacing the ignition module. It is located in the distributor. This is what gives the PCM the reference to turn on the fuel pump, fire spark, etc.
Can only tell you the cost of replacing the timing belt, water pump, and few other minor items on my 2006 Odyssey Touring -- $750.00 ! Get the parts at autozone or a similar store and do it yourself, not too difficult if you are mechanically inclined, or have a friend who is. Parts should run you $190, there is a kit that includes the belt, water pump and the pulleys all together.
Drain the water from your cooling system. Remove the water pump return hose. Remove the water pump belt. Remove the water pump retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new water pump.
