Rust rot is just a term for rust on the body of your car. Usually you'll see paint bubbles, which indicate rust underneath. To get rid of it, Strip the paint off the car to reveal exactly where the rust resides.
You have to strip all of it off. Sometimes other areas are affected where paint hasn't bubbled yet. Chances are, if you have one spot, you've got more. Once the body underneath is revealed, sand down the all the rust so it's completely gone. Remember that rust is like cancer. If you even leave a smidget of it on the car, you'll get the problem all over again. Make sure you get it ALL!!! To be certain, I recommend using a chemical like RustOleum's Rust Stripper. It chemically kills the rust and converts it to something totally different which is inactive. When all you have left is the unpainted body of the car, with no paint, you're done with the rust. The only thing left is to patch up all the holes with either epoxy, sheet metal, or putty (depending on your budget) and then repaint. To avoid getting infected again, try using Primers and Paint that resist rust as much as possible. Check out http://www.rustoleum.com for some tips and great items. I like them. They're cheap and they have a lot of great products.
The other thing you can do is just bring it to a car painting shop like Maaco and have them do all the work. But, they won't love ur car like u do. If you have the time, I recommend doing the rust removal yourself. Then bring your car to Maaco to have them repaint it. Plus, you'll save about 500 bucks on the paint job for all you hard work. Painting a car is 90% labor, 10% material costs. Good Luck,
Boris

There are two major methods to remove rust:
1) mechanical by grinding, sand blasting..
2) chemical using special chemical solution that dissolves rust
there is another way to convert the rust oxide to a more resistant oxyde by means of Rust converter.
This is how to do the job properly, and achieve a professional result:
a) Cut away all rusty or corroded metal.
b) Swage/Joggle the edge of the hole, so that the metal patch sits slightly below the surface of the surrounding panel.
c) Weld the patch into place, preferably using Oxy-acetylene, although MIG or TIG can be used, but the welds will be harder. A MMA set is not recommended, as they will tend to burn through light Steel, such as car bodywork.
d) If you used Oxy-acetylene, you will be able to plannish the welds flat using light hammer blows. However, if you used MIG or TIG, the weld beads will need to be ground flat.
e) Clean up the area, removing any metal oxide deposits from the 'Heat Affected Zone' around the repair and apply a rust inhibitor to both sides of the patch, allow this to dry. When dry, the area should look dark grey or black, due to the formation of Ferrous Phosphate that will inhibit rust formation.
f) Use a thin film or Fibreglass filler to restore the original contour of the area, sand as required when hard.
g) Paint the area using both primer and top-coat layers, lightly sanding each layer as it dries. Apply primer and under seal to the reverse side as required.
Properly done, the repair will be undetectable, from the outside of the car.
without using any spray or antirust paints etc , the only way to protect from rust is to not get car wet.sort of like leave it in the garage
surface rust: naval jelly can be bought at most chain hardware stores
cancerous rust: best way is to cut that portion and weld on a new piece of metal and hae it painted
Best not to mess with it your self, go see your piercer and for a small fee they can open the piercing using an insertion taper which will stretch the piercing without damaging it.
The best remedy is to learn how to drive properly. Second, install rear parking sensors. Rear parking sensors protect from damage to the vehicle and harm to people, rear parking sensors also protect drivers and others from property damage.

You can put newspapers in scrapbooks, but you have to be careful, as newspapers are HIGHLY acidic. There are archival sprays that you can spray on the newspaper, but even then you are taking chances because of the high acidity of the newspaper. The best bet is to copy them onto acid free paper.
The conservative approach
