He could be refering to the spark plug wires. But wires could meen alot of things too.
A weak spark can be caused by a faulty ignition coil, or perhaps bad spark plug wires.
The spark plugs along with the plug wires are hidden very well... The spark plugs are located under the log plastic strip on top of the valve cover.

Get a tune up. Replace cap and rotor, spark plugs, spark plug wires, and make sure the wires are in the correct firing order.

The voltage regulator is inside the alternator.
There are numbers on the distibutor cap for each wire that correspond to the cylinders. The cylinders are numbered 1 thru 4 with #1 on the passenger side. I hope this helps you.
Correct firing order is 1 3 4 2 Your distributor cap is numbered 4 2 1 3 on the top in a anti-clockwise direction. Match the HT leads from the cap to the corresponding spark plug.Thats it . PW
There are no spark plug wires. Each spark plug has its own coil and the spark plug attaches to the coil directly. To access the coil and plug, you need to remove the black plate on the top center of the engine (4-6 torx screws, I believe).
