Check the battery first. Do your interior lights come on ? Check your battery cables . If they are rusty or have some white corrosion on them, clean them with a wire brush and reattach them. You could have a blocked fuel line. There are bunches of things.
sound to me like maybe the battery cables are loose, or maybe the cable going to the starter is loose. maybe possible a bad ground.
Unless you have the proper equiptment, and expertise do not attempt to paint the hood yourself or you will be sorely dissapointed in the results. Remove the hood and take it to a trusted body shop and let them professionally paint it for you.
check fuel cut off switch or ground wire by battery small wire on neg side of battery cable or fuel and eec relays under hood
Take your Serpentine belt back off. Try to start the car now. If it starts, shut it off quickly. Spin all the pulleys under the hood, power steering, alternator, AC, idler, tensioner. See if they all spin. If one doesnt, it probly needs to be replaced.
I had this problem last night with my 96 Isuzu Rodeo (same as Passport). The towing guy climbed asked me to be in park and engage the brakes. Then he climbed under the hood and banged the starter with a wrench while I tried starting the car. It started. Today it starts fine, but he told me to get it replaced. Usually a single click means the starter solenoid/relay switch is faulty. The whole starter does not have to be replaced due to a bad relay switch.
check the motor mounts
in the hood
check the battery. mine wont start if its 0 or colder.
On the underside of the hood in the middle unless someone removed yours.
Unless you can tell me what else you mean, I don't believe there is any such god or goddess with a hood.
Under the hood find the carburetor and the gas line leading into the carburetor and disconnect or cut it and try to start the car if when you start the car and gas squirts out its not the fuel pump but if it doesnt do anything it is your fuel pump
If the battery is not under the hood, there will be jump start posts to attach to.
Hood. It covers the engine. English call it the bonnet. The back is the trunk, unless its a rear engine car, then its still the hood.
I had this problem when my civic was in a front end collision. I opened the hood and pounded out the dents with a rubber mallet, but then the hood wouldn't latch. The hood is curved and by pounding out the dents in the front, i had bent the front of the hood upwards, making it impossible for the latch to fully engage. I solved the problem with a few well placed mallet blows near the middle of the hood, which brought the front end of the hood back into its more natural position. This might not be the optimal solution if you hood isn't already banged up, but it might set you in the right direction. I had this problem when my civic was in a front end collision. It's most likely a naked wire. Drop your fuel tank and check the connection. From there you'll just have to work your way towards the hood.
NO....unless your Robin Hood
