There is no "best example" of lifelong physical activity because all people have differences in physical abilities and differences between each person's physical health.

Walking is the best exercise. However, some people cannot walk.

Activities than raise and sustain heart rate are good cardiovascular exercises, yet, people who cannot stand or walk, or who have Heart disease, may not be able to do strenuous exercise.

So, THE BEST lifelong physical activity is what a person can do, consistently, given his or her physical limitations.
