Yeast, being a fungi can spoil many foods.

However, unlike Rhizopus it cannot spoil bread.

This is because Bread has a very low moisture level. Which means yeast can only spoil acidic foods with a little moisture in it.

Seeing as at the moment I'm answering this question I am also researching this very fungi. Also remember that there are more than one species of yeast. so bakers yeast will not spoil food since it is used for fermenting alcohols and making breads and pastries rise as well as molding cheese. I'm afraid that what I've told you may not help but I really hope it does.
