Italy was a member of the Axis Alliance with Germany, and German troups occupied northern Italy when Italy surrendered.
Finland was forced to ally with Nazi Germany because the Soviet Union (Russia) invaded Finland in an effort to take Finland over, as the Soviet Union had done to Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, etc.
Spain was technically neutral but provided military assistance to Nazi Germany.
World War II, or the Second World War[1] (often abbreviated WWII or WW2), was a global military conflict which involved a majority of the world's nations, including all great powers, organized into two opposing military alliances: the Allies and the Axis. The war involved the mobilization of over 100 million military personnel, making it the most widespread war in history. In a state of "total war", the major participants placed their entire economic, industrial, and scientific capabilities at the service of the war effort, erasing the distinction between civilian and military resources. Over seventy million people, the majority of whom were civilians, were killed, making it the deadliest conflict in human history.
The start of the war is generally held to be September 1, 1939, with the German invasion of Poland and subsequent declarations of war on Germany by most of the countries in the British Empire and Commonwealth, and by France. Subsequently, the Soviet Union invaded Poland from the east side. Many countries were already at war before this date, such as Ethiopia and Italy in the Second Italo-Abyssinian War and Nationalist China and Japan in the Second Sino-Japanese War, and many who were not initially involved joined the war later, as a result of events such as the German invasion of the Soviet Union (Operation Barbarossa), and the attacks on Pearl Harbor and British colonies and subsequent declarations of war on Japan by Dutch[2] and British Commonwealth.[3]
In 1945 the war ended in a victory for the Allies. The Soviet Union and the United States subsequently emerged as the world's superpowers, setting the stage for the Cold War, which lasted for the next 46 years. The United Nations was formed in the hope of preventing another such conflict. The acceptance of the principle of self-determination accelerated decolonization movements in Asia and Africa, while Western Europe itself began moving toward integration.
In World War 1 Germany invaded:
World War 2
Countries invaded by Germany during World War 2:
1) The other world countries would be all over him. 2) He wanted to humiliate Germany's enemies.
Initially just Europe and Russia. He planned to stop for a while, build his base then take over the world.
They didn't take over any countries. Germany, Italy and Austria-Hungary did but in the end Britain, France and Russia won the war so Britain didn't need to take over any countries.
Nazi Germany invaded Poland in 1939 (the Polish-German war of 1939). This marked the beginning of WWII, European Theatre.
Germany took over various countries and if i am correct they were taken over in this order: 1. Rhineland -> The Rhineland was a demilitarized area that lies between the Rhine River and France border. They were easily taken over, (which was against the Versailles Treaty by the way) 2. Austria-> Austria was next on Hitler's list 3.Czechoslovakia was the next target of Hitlers. He repeatedly spoke of uniting of all German speaking people. And because German people lived in Czech. Hitler believed that he should own part of it. It was divided between Germany, Hungary, and Poland. 4. Hitler then decided to invade Poland, however Britain and France decided that they would become allies with the Polish and then WW2 began. Hopefully this helps!
fobleland in vaded and then took over Germany(with Germanys help) and most of North e land not only did they do this they were in almost all the attacks that Germany made.
In the Thirties, Germany occupied Austria and, later, Czechoslovakia. On September 1, 1939, Germany invaded Poland, which triggered World War II. Germany then invaded numerous other countries including most of Europe and north Africa.
Adolf Hitler went to war with other countries mostly because of Religious differences. Also maybe because they were poor and he thought he could take them over.
Austria and Czechoslovakia.
It was easy for Germany to invade Poland (1) Because it is a nearby country and (2) because Poland is flatland. Tough terrain such as mountains are a major setback and have cost many military groups all over the world great loses.
all countries in europe apart from the neural countries and britain
They were trying to take over all the countries.
He nearly wanted to take over the whole world, he had invaded quite a lot of countries and Britain was next!
He was determined to make Germany the most powerful country in the world, by taking over and ruling other countries, as an addition to Germany.
Because some countries want to take them over and make them part of something larger, and this causes friction between the countries - even if the countries are small, if, say, Russia was to invade and take over, the rest of the world would be upset.
they had one by one took over the countries when they had reached the border they had tooken over europe.
1) The other world countries would be all over him. 2) He wanted to humiliate Germany's enemies.
