How much does it cost to replace lower ball joints on a jeep Cherokee?

I just did my own ball joints the other day. I paid about $70 each at garage cost here in Canada. I would estimate the labour to be roughly 3 hours times the door rate which varies from shop to shop. Since you have to remove the wheel bearing/hub assy., it might be a good idea to buy a couple of wheel bearings too. There shouldn't be any extra labour charge to replace these since they have to take them off to do the ball joints. And if you really want to spend money you can replace the brake pads and maybe the rotors too......that's right.....since they have to take them off to do the ball joints. Have fun.

My 94 Jeep Cherokee is making a clicking noise in the left rear wheel when it rolls is this the wheel bearings or tie rod endings or ball joints?
Assuming you don't mean GRAND Cherokee (which I am not familiar with), there are no ball joints, wheel bearings or tie rods in the rear of a Cherokee. It could be something as simple as your centercap being loose, your break drum needing adjustment (altho I doubt it), loose lug nuts, or even suspension. Take it to a mechanic.

The ones found locally would have worked, but the oem's pivoted on a ball joint. Then it was simply a matter of swapping them out.Four screws each, and it was done. Hope that helps.
