Depends: Folk (Muzica traditionala) for older generation and for those with roots in countryside. Modern music (Pop, Rock, Hip-Hop, etc.):For younger generations. Classic+"Romance Language" music: For "inCity" living older generation. Gypsy

music+"hill-billy style"- All generation but is hated by a lot of romanians. (The Gypsy music and "artists" have many haters in Romania for making us look less educated to foreign people.) If u have some romanian friends coming over don't put manele(gypsy music) unless u heard them listening to it (style=greec+turkish+arabin). Try : Soul, Jazz, Blues .... elevator/shopping mall music. :-).
